[A few weeks ago, she would've found this hard to believe. Now, besieged by terrifying robot birds, and giants, and all sorts of monsters, she's firmly in the believer camp.]

That sounds horrifying. [Said softly. The Stormbird had been bad enough and she'd been above ground, then. The horror movie sort of claustrophobia Vera was describing was an entirely different terror.] ...No wonder you're exhausted.

Yeah, I got pretty beat up.

[Which... actually sounds really bad, now that she's said it.]

...I'm okay. My body has started healing really fast all of a sudden.

I just wish it did something about the pain. [A weak chuckle.]

[She's not really sure how to help, in this case, but eventually:] Do you need any help moving around? Would you be up for company?

[All she wants to do is complain, but she knows that would upset Alison, so she'll put on a brave face.]

I've got my caretaker coming to look after me while I recover, I wouldn't ask you to wait on me hand and foot.

But... I can tell him to wait until tomorrow if you wanted to come.

Hm...maybe, once you felt better, we could hang out? I don't want to mess with your recovery. And you probably need the rest.
