Inspiration is unexpected. And weird.

The finished piece, is it just the piano so far?

Not entirely. Here.

[She sends over what she has so far. The piano track is cleaned up considerably compared to what "DJ" had heard a few months ago, and now includes a violin backing and considerable after-effects.]

Still not 100% where I want it to be, but I'm happy with the progress.

That's come quite a long way. I'm impressed.
Now I wish I had asked first before adding anything. The drums won't fit quite right with this version...

Also, I didn't know you also played the violin. Or I forgot. It could go either way.

Rhythm is easy. Skill takes time. Instinct... that's something you just have to discover.
But you discovered me so you're a third of the way there.

Besides I'm not looking to become a professional.

Can't say I've ever had anonymous lessons over the phone before.

I've never had a random music file texted to me instead of the intended recipient either, so this will be a first for the both of us.

I was texting it to myself so I could download it onto my phone.
No one's even supposed to have heard it.
So far you're the only one who has.

For about a month, yes.
My texts were going to a bunch of people they weren't supposed to.
It was ridiculous.

No, my hardware isn't the latest so it's pretty stable.
I only replace when something breaks.
