[She's just not used to people enjoying her company. Her employees are scared of her, and most people seem to resent her. Having someone want her around is kind of strange.

She settles back down against Kara's chest, shutting her eyes tight.]

Kara doesn't object though, pulling Vera into a hug and wrapping her bike jacket around her.]

Fucking you, twice, doesn't tell you anything at all? Girl. I do have standards. And you're alright. Too stuck up sometimes, but that's just who you are.

[Vera takes the collar of the jacket in one hand, pulling it tight against her.]

I mean it's not about how I am imagining my body. It's good to know you enjoy it, however.

[Relax she does, idly teasing a strand of Kara's hair with a single finger.]

It's... relieving to hear that. A lot of people are only looking for money, there are few people I can really trust.

It's not like money's hard to come by, and no offense but I don't think I'd want to be obscenely wealthy.

[Like how most people are more likely to stab you in the back if it means they benefit financially. It's great being seen more as a wallet with legs and less as a person.]

[Laying back down, staring up at the starry sky, Kara blows out a breath.]

I opened a business doing what I care about, using all the money I saved. I fix motorbikes, and sell them too. I swore I would not do anything like what I used to do when I was younger again.

I'm trying to go legit, and get out of the thug-for-hire business.

[Vera furrows her brow, looking down at the taller girl's hands, then back up at her face.]

So I can't ask you to beat people up. There must be something else.

Something that also won't interfere with my business.

[Which she does want to maintain.]

Business. [She repeats the word, taking a deep breath through her nose and taking in the scent of Kara's neck.]

What if you were to teach me to ride one of these motorcycles? I could have you as my mechanic.

I mean, I could do that.

[Kara hums, leaning against Vera a little.]

I wouldn't mind being your personal mechanic. There are worse things, and it'd also be a good look from a PR perspective.
