She's from Atlas, like me, but what Ruby never told any of us was that she was a robot designed by the military. You'd never know it otherwise. She looked and acted like a normal girl.
I'd believe it. Tech can do all kinds of incredible stuff...no wonder Ruby likes Baymax so much. Doesn't that sound kind of deceptive of the military though to make her look like a person? What was the military doing with robots anyway?
If she was meant to not look like a threat, why train her as a Huntress? Or train her at all? I thought you could just program robots with whatever they need to know.
[Okay so she hasn't built many robots in her life but she's seen movies.]
And the only thing I can think of is that she has a soul, somehow. But how can you make a soul in a lab?
If somebody did decide to take advantage of her it's better that she's trained and able to defend herself don't you think? I mean when I used to go bot-fighting I always used the ploy that I was a beginner and didn't know what I was doing but managed to outrun the guys who would try to kill me afterwards. It's just a smart battle strategy. And that's true but...robots are capable of learning things on their own. Trust me.
I don't know how you can make a soul. That's the part that bothers me. You can make it so it's LIKE they have a soul but actually having one? I guess that depends what you'd consider a soul.
If Atlas found a way to produce an artificial Aura then what does that mean for the state of your world? I mean it's not a bad idea to have more hunters and huntresses with the way things are going now but it's just...suspicious in a way. Makes you wonder if the military really thought things were so bad that they needed robotic back-up.
...if Penny was a robot, do you think..I mean...can she be fixed at all? They made her, someone has to know how to help fix her.

What's really strange is that she had an Aura

There's probably a way to use Dust to make something like an Aura, but there was no mistaking it. They could even track it at the tournament.

Tournament fights are decided when someone's Aura is depleted. It's how they make sure the people fighting don't get seriously hurt.
