[She chuckles to herself.]

Do you want to get that drink now, or should we save it for the party tonight?

I'd much rather it be a private affair. You'll be in high demand, won't you?

Je suis toujours très en demande, ma douce fleur. Shall we meet somewhere, or maybe just open a bottle at my apartment?

[sunnymerc]

Oh, jeez. You're getting better at this. How about your apartment? I think something lowkey may be nice to balance out your...everything else.

[heiroglyphs]

What can I say? I learn from the best.

[She chuckles to herself, obviously proud of her skills. All those late-night study sessions on flirting and relationships may have actually paid off.]

I'll let the front desk know you're coming. They'll buzz you up to my floor.

Ah, you're going to break hearts. I can feel it.

[At least it's real hard to break Soleil's heart. She is okay with this princess getting more powerful.

With in no time, she is on Vera's floor and buzzing her doorbell.]

[Vera comes to the door in a little white dress and a smile on her face, hardly giving her friend the time to take in the view before she pulls her into a tight hug.]

The bottle's chilling, come in and get cozy.

Oh.

[Soleil on the other hand is in a pair of ordinary slacks and a t-shirt and is feeling particularly under-dressed for the princess's invitation.

She scoops Vera up off her feet to return the hug.]

Looking as cute as ever, ma petite princesse. Lead the way.

Oh!

[She lets out a squeak as she's scooped up off her feet, covering her mouth immediately in an attempt to hide the noise.]

R-right inside, on the couch. You can... carry me if you want.

[Soleil cannot quite get over how tiny Vera is. She is almost a full foot shorter. ]

Your wish is my command, milady.

[She puts an arm behind Vera and scoops her legs up with her other. There is absolutely no effort on her part as she carries her over to the couch.]

[It's something she's always been embarrassed about, doing her best to hide it with heels and large dresses. Having someone treat her size as something that's cute, or even attractive, is something she hasn't been able to process quite yet. Still, being in the arms of someone so incredibly strong gives her a tingly feeling on the back of her neck.]

You don't mind if I stay here, right?

[She nestles against the inside of her shoulder as her arms drape around her neck.]

O-Oh, yes. I'd mind more if you didn't.

[Soleil plops herself onto the couch and sets Vera on her lap, keeping her arms around the girl's waist.]

Can't be saying no to the birthday girl.

[heiroglyphs]

[Vera lets out a little grunt as the two plop down on her white leather couch. She quickly grabs a blanket from behind them and pulls it over them both.]

Good, because I want this more than anything right now.

[Her weight shifts as she relaxes, sinking against the taller girl's chest. It's incredible that she could get so comfortable so quickly.]

You're so strong...

[sunnymerc]

Heehee. I am, aren't i?

[Look, she spends so much time at the gym that she isn't about to pretend to be humble. She knows she is swole.]

Or maybe you're just that tiny. Heh, heh. I'm worried I may squish you.

[heiroglyphs]

I'm not tiny, you're just big.

[She crosses her arms, but her voice is soft. Normally, she'd be much more animated about the distinction, but she's just so damn comfortable right now.]

[sunnymerc]

Am I?

[Soleil leans in to Vera's ear, whispering.]

Say that again. Tell me how big I am.

[heiroglyphs]

[Vera holds tight to the back of Soleil's neck, leaning up to whisper back at the taller girl.]

You're so big...

[And grabbing Soleil's shoulders and pushing her away with a smirk.]

That you piss me off.

[sunnymerc]

[Soleil lets out something between a whine and a giggle.]

What? Nooo. I came here to make the birthday girl feel loved and special, not piss her off. Now she'll never unwrap my present for her.

[heiroglyphs]

[Okay, that whine actually was pretty cute, making the heiress giggle through her nose.]

I swear to god, if you say your present is you...

[sunnymerc]

I didn't bring a package with me, did I?

[EYEBROW WAG.]

I guess you're just lucky I'm not into packages.

[God, all that time around Yin is making the puns rub off on her.]

Oh, jeez.

[She makes a pained expression as she catches on, then rubs her face.]

You'll burn through your birthday girl privilege real fast if you keep that up.

What? I thought it was funny.

[sunnymerc]

It could use some work.

[Soleil takes her hand from her face and honks Vera's nose.]

[heiroglyphs]

[She swats at Soleil's hand with her comparatively tiny one.]

I guess that means my dream of being a comedienne will never pan out. Father will be most disappointed.
